what you've been
missing.

Giving Table is a hospitality organization built around one belief: food is the world's most powerful connector. We teach kids to cook, host community dinners, and feed people who need it โ€” and every ticket sold funds a free session for a student.

We don't just teach kids to cook. We teach them to feed people โ€” and trust that everything else follows.

$0

Cost to youth participants

Every ticket you buy funds a free session for a kid.

The revenue from our dinners, corporate events, and sponsorships goes directly back into free youth programming and community meal distribution. This is the model. We thought you should know.

3

Ways your support flows back to the community

The Giving Table Collective

One hospitality brand.
Three ways to gather.

Every branch of Giving Table creates a different context for the same experience โ€” people coming together around food, learning something, and leaving with more than they came in with.

The Giving Table Kitchen

Education through hospitality

Hands-on culinary and life-skills programming for youth, plus cooking demonstrations open to the public. Every session follows the same three-part arc: cook it, plate it, share it.

The Giving Table Feeds

Food as community service

Community volunteers cook and package nutritious meals for partner organizations across Lexington County. Feeds also hosts premium corporate packaging experiences โ€” where teams cook, package, and share a meal together.

The Giving Table Foundation

Scholarships & lasting impact

The nonprofit counterpart to the Collective โ€” funding scholarships for culinary education, sustaining free community programming, and giving back to the communities Giving Table serves. Coming once the LLC proves the model.

The Giving Table Kitchen

More than a cooking class.
A life skill.

The Kitchen is where Giving Table began. It's a hands-on culinary and life-skills program that teaches young people to cook, plate, serve, and host โ€” and invites the public to learn alongside them through cooking demonstrations.

Every Kitchen session is a hospitality practicum. Students don't just follow a recipe. They understand the culture behind the dish, the technique behind the cooking, and the responsibility of feeding someone else.

๐ŸŽ“ Youth Sessions โ€” Ages 11โ€“18

Free, open-enrollment sessions at a professional kitchen in Lexington County. Knife skills, nutrition, global cuisines, ServSafe certification, table etiquette, and hospitality โ€” culminating in the student-run Giving Table Dinner.

๐Ÿณ Public Cooking Demos

Educational cooking demonstrations open to adults and families. One technique, one cuisine, one shared meal. Hosted at partner restaurant and community kitchen spaces around Lexington.

The Kitchen Block

Hands-on cooking

One technique or cuisine explored through active cooking. Food safety, knife skills, seasoning, global ingredients โ€” something real and repeatable every time.

MIN
The Table Block

Plating & hospitality

Students rotate roles โ€” Head Cook, Sous Chef, Table Captain, Host โ€” and learn the difference between cooking a meal and serving one.

30
MIN
The Community Block

Everyone eats together

The meal is shared around one table. A facilitated conversation about the food, the culture, and the community. The part students come back for.

The Giving Table Dinners

A dinner run
entirely by kids.

Every few months, Giving Table students design a dinner from the ground up โ€” the menu, the ambiance, the table settings, the service. They execute it at a partner restaurant in front of a ticketed audience of adults who paid to be hosted by teenagers.

It's not a school recital. It's a real dining event. And it is the single most powerful thing Giving Table does.

Revenue from every dinner funds free youth sessions. Every guest is a donor whether they know it or not.

Students conceptualize everything

Design

The menu, the theme, the table design, the music. Guided by culinary mentors but driven entirely by the students' creativity and vision.

Hosted at a partner restaurant

Venue

A local restaurant clears their dining room and lends their space. Students cook, plate, and serve in a real professional kitchen and dining room.

Ticketed โ€” open to the public

Event

Guests buy tickets. They arrive knowing they will be welcomed, fed, and genuinely hosted by young people who have been preparing for this moment for weeks.

Revenue funds free programming

Impact

Every dollar from ticket sales goes back into free youth sessions and Feeds programming. A great dinner is also a great gift to the community.

The Giving Table Feeds

Feed someone.
Feel something.

The Giving Table Feeds mobilizes community volunteers to cook and package nutritious meals distributed to people in need through trusted local partners โ€” shelters, senior programs, faith communities, and youth organizations across Lexington County.

Feeds also hosts a premium corporate packaging experience. Your team shows up, cooks something together, packages meals for the community, and sits down to share a meal at the end. Two hours. Real impact. No team-building worksheet in sight.

The 2-Hour Corporate Experience

1
Arrive & Connect (15 min)

Guests arrive to music, a warm welcome, and a brief on who the meals are going to โ€” specific partner, specific community, real people.

2
Cook Something Together (20 min)

Groups of 5โ€“6 prepare a cold component โ€” a sauce, a dressing, a salsa. Something that requires skill, taste, and a decision. Your fingerprint on the meal.

3
The Assembly Line (30 min)

Groups rotate through packaging stations. Portion, package, label, box. Efficient, energizing, and collaborative in a way spreadsheet work never is.

4
Sit Down Together (25 min)

The packaging is complete. Everyone stops and shares a meal together. You hear where the food is going and how many people it serves. This is the part people remember.

Revenue from every corporate event directly funds free youth programming and community Feeds sessions. Your team-building investment feeds two communities.

What's Next

The table is
still being set.

The Kitchen and Feeds are launching now. Two more chapters are in development โ€” and the people on the waitlist will be first to know when they open.

Coming 2027

The Giving Table Foundation

The 501(c)(3) nonprofit counterpart to the Collective. The Foundation will fund culinary scholarships for Giving Table alumni, sustain free community programming, and amplify giving-back initiatives across the Midlands. We're building the track record first. The Foundation follows.

In Development

The Giving Table App

A weekly meal plan with recipes, ingredient lists, nutrition education, and a map showing participating local grocery stores โ€” so you can cook what your community is cooking this week, even if you can't make it to a session in person. The community dinner, extended into your kitchen.
